ASSOCIATED BENEFITS OF RAISED FLOORING

Energy Savings

Under-Floor Heating and Cooling. With rising energy costs, consumers demand solutions for lowering their heating and cooling costs. Access floor plenum systems (under-floor air) can provide energy savings up to 20 - 30% over traditional overhead ceiling air systems, due to:

- An increased number of ventilation systems

- Higher Supply air temperatures

- Reduced AHU (air handler unit) capacitance

- Reduced fan power

-Access floor plenum systems also offer personalized comfort control by room or even by floor area, providing optimum temperatures for individual work areas.

Air Quality

Clean Air Environments can be established utilizing under-floor air systems. Because hot air rises, the traditional overhead air system mixes clean air with the warmest most polluted air before reaching the occupants. By pushing clean air up from the floor, allergens, germs, diseases and even smoke and odors are removed from occupant levels and pushed up into the ceiling area where the contaminated air is collected, filtered, mixed with fresh air and then re circulated back into your space.

Breathe freely with under-floor air systems.

Design Flexibility

Access flooring transforms any facility into a modular working environment. Relocation of electrical, data and telecommunication outlets is as easy as moving a floor panel. Plug and play power and data solutions deliver unlimited reconfiguration capability at a lower cost.

Under-floor cabling also provides flexibility in design. It allows you to make the most of your building space, and is easily adaptable to technological and organizational changes.

Lower Costs

Lower Construction Costs. On average Access flooring projects require less ductwork, fewer wires and cables, and on many locations the total elimination of drop ceiling systems. All resulting in reduced construction material and labor costs.

Lower Operating Costs. Energy efficiency is achieved in buildings with raised floor HVAC plenum systems. This is attributed to the design and use of smaller air handler units and supply fans operating the buildings air system.

Lower Maintenance Costs. Addressing cable or ducting problems under the floor is as simple as lifting a panel. Damage to flooring tiles, finishes or carpet is easy to repair or replace. Company expansion or reorganization is also easy and inexpensive to address with access flooring systems. In-house facilities personnel can move and add plug and play electrical boxes and air diffusers to accommodate growth.
